“Don’t Have Stephen Curry to Bail You Out”: ESPN Analyst Kendrick Perkins ‘Hates’ on Steve Kerr for Warriors’ Horrible Season
The Golden State Warriors are crumbling like a pillar fractured from the bottom. Many are beginning to wonder if Stephen Curry was the soul and spirit of this team. His absence, after all, has made them look disgustingly weak, especially for defending champions.
With their latest defeat, Steve Kerr has opened up his squad for severe criticism. Brooklyn Nets absolutely toyed with the Warriors in today’s game. Kevin Durant scored 21 points in the first half to help the Nets drop an incredible 91 points on the unsuspecting Warriors.
The entire time, it looked like Kerr and his squad had no answer for the Nets’ onslaught. Having lost 3 of their 4 games without Curry, Kendrick Perkins pointed out the chinks in GSW’s armor.

Kendrick Perkins launches an attack on the Warriors
After the humiliating loss, Kendrick Perkins immediately took to his Twitter to call out the Warriors. As per him, Steve Kerr was at fault for the current state of the team. Perkins claimed that the trashing at the hands of the Knicks and Nets proves that GSW is not ready for competing.
He also took a shot at the decorated head coach for relying on Stephen Curry to bail him out always.
Perkins: “The Warriors got SMOKED last night by the Knicks and now the Nets beating the brakes off them… at what point is Steve Kerr going to have his team ready to compete! It’s a lot different when you don’t have Steph to bail you out huh?! Don’t mind me tho and Carry on…”

To be fair to Steve Kerr and the Dubs, their latest loss could be blamed on the missing key players from the squad. Perkins, after all, pointed out only Steph’s absence but left out all the others who were missing the action.
GSW faced the Nets without Andrew Wiggins, Klay Thompson, Donte DiVincenzo, and JaMychal Green. This clearly made them vulnerable to a team like the Nets.
The absence of Stephen Curry will decide the Warriors’ fate
With a championship behind them, perhaps Golden State got too comfortable in the glowy of their conquest. With Curry out, it’s time for the other starters ad youngsters to elevate their game.
Until Curry returns, if the Warriors can get back on a winning streak, things will look very different in the second half of the season. If the GSW team can make it work without Curry, his eventual return will make them into a fearsome force.
However, if the youngsters fail to make any impact, Curry’s return won’t be enough to help them repeat their championship run.
