6x Pro Bowler Chad ‘Ochocinco’ Johnson Wins The Internet After Leaving a Massive $1,000 Tip For a $81 Meal

Chad Johnson always remembers to leave a substantial tip and last Thursday, the former NFL wide receiver was clearly in the holiday spirit.

Johnson dined tonight at the Longhorn Steakhouse in Pembroke Pines, Fla., and his waitress, Valerie, benefited greatly from his presence. Johnson posted a screenshot of his bill, which totaled $81.35. Despite the low cost of his meal, Johnson left a sizable tip. A $1,000 tip, to be precise. He also wrote “Merry Christmas” at the bottom of the receipt.

This is not the first time Johnson has done something like this. He left a four-figure tip at Havana’s restaurant near Ft. Lauderdale in May 2020, which had recently reopened during the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Johnson wrote “Congratulations on re-opening” on his $37 bill that night. I apologise for the pandemic. I hope this was helpful. I adore you.”

Chad Johnson explains why he leaves such large tips at restaurants.

Former NFL wide receiver “Chad Ochocinco” is well-known for leaving insane tips at hotels and restaurants. When asked why he does this, Johnson responded that he has been doing it for 20 years.

Johnson said, “I always take care of those who are serving me; it’s just something I always do, regardless of where I am, regardless of what restaurant or the service.”

Chad Johnson, is also been a huge soccer fan, accepted Fox’s invitation to join their World Cup analysis team in Qatar. He has always been a strong supporter of the sport, and now even more so in his retirement. He frequently tweets about watching European sports.

Johnson was named to three first-team All-Pro teams and six Pro Bowls during his playing career as a result of his receiving abilities. In college, he played football for Oregon State University and Santa Monica College. He also played 11 seasons in the NFL with the Miami Dolphins, New England Patriots, and Cincinnati Bengals.
