xQc to finally host a Twitch subathon, wait longer than anticipated

Twitch star, xQc, has finally given his audience some much-awaited news. During a live stream, he told his audience what he has planned for the coming year. The list of things he wanted to do also included a subathon, which was promised months ago.

Back in March 2021, xQc did his first subathon and set the stage for more streamers.

“This is good”: Qc promises to do a subathon in 2023

 

For the unversed, a subathon is a live stream in which the streamer has to stream for as long as they are getting subscriptions. The number of subscriptions and donations will decide how long the stream would run. Due to this, a lot of streams have lasted weeks on end. Ludwig’s subathon lasted a record 31 days and now, in a post new year’s day stream, xQc wrote that a subathon is coming in Q3 2023.

If xQc is to pull this one off, he will have to prepare for weeks, if not months, and will most likely gather his other streamer friends.

While discussing the plan, xQc said: “Subathon before Q3 (third quarter of the year). I think that’s fair enough. Uhm…”

Fans react to potential subathon

Since xQc has been doing a lot of Just Chatting streams, fans are doubtful about him bringing something new to the table. On the other hand, they also believe that his popularity has skyrocketed so much so that he might have to eventually put a cap on it like Ludwig had to.

The Canadian has streamed for over 24 hours in the past and if he holds a subathon, it will be interesting to see if he crosses his previous record of 102,000 subs.
