The Brisbane Heat, on the other hand, are reeling at the penultimate spot in the table with mere 2 wins out of their 7 matches so far this season.
Their batting did click during the previous match against Sydney Sixers, but unfortunately had to settle with one point as the match was forced to be called-off due to rain.
Having registered the third-highest score (224/5) this season against present table toppers Sixers at home last Sunday, Heat would yet again rely on their top-3 batters in Colin Munro, Josh Brown, and Nathan McSweeney to help improve their position at the points table.
SCO vs HEA pitch report BBL 12
The Perth Stadium will host its fifth match this BBL season today. All the four encounters so far have not been high-scoring ones, with 155 being the maximum runs posted by the team batting first.
The decent bounce on offer coupled by seam movement has helped the pacers to pitch in with early wickets, which has thus led to a string of modest totals in the matches at this venue so far.
Having said that, the pitches have been conducive for batting as well, as proven by the middle and the lower middle order of the teams so far on this Perth pitch.
Captain winning the Toss is likely to bat first yet again. Score in the vicinity of the 160-run mark might well turn out to be a match-winning total at this venue today.
