“I Watch Euroleague More than NBA!” Luka Doncic Shockingly Says He Doesn’t Care About MVP Competitors
Luka Doncic has been spectacular this season. After all, the man has been averaging 34 points, 8.8 rebounds, and 8.7 assists, while shooting 50.1% from the field, and 35.2% from beyond the arc. In other words, he has been carrying the Dallas Mavericks.
Doing all this work has put him in the conversation for MVP this season. And frankly, it is starting to seem harder and harder to give it to anyone in the entire NBA but him.
Still, it is possible for someone else to steal it. So it’s probably important for Doncic to keep a key eye on his competitors.
But does the Wonder Boy actually do it?

Luka Doncic says he doesn’t watch much of the NBA
Luka Doncic is an absolute genius. And most geniuses get to that status by studying their opponents feverishly, while polishing their own game so that they can keep competing at the highest level.
But when it comes to the Slovenian… it appears that his eyes are barely ever on the NBA. Take a look at the tweet below to see what he had to say on the matter.
Luka Dončić on if he is looking at games of fellow MVP candidates:
⁰“Not really. I watch some NBA games, but I watch more Euroleague than NBA. But if it is a really good NBA game on TV, I will watch it.”— Landon Thomas (@sixfivelando) January 8, 2023
Either Luka Doncic doesn’t care much for the NBA, or simply finds Euroleague games far more entertaining.
Whatever his approach is though, fans can’t really fault him for it. After all, there is no possible way for the man to play any better than he is already.
And if he does somehow manage to do so anyway, anyone that’d still call either Michael Jordan or LeBron James the GOAT would have to be a damn fool.
Luka Doncic has especially been amazing since Christmas
Luka Doncic has been looking pretty good in general this season. But, his performances specifically took an uptick after Christmas.
So StatMuse decided to find the numbers from after Christmas, and frankly, they couldn’t be more staggering.
Luka since Christmas:
39.1 PPG
11.3 RPG
8.9 APG
50.9 FG%Mavs are 6-1 in that stretch. pic.twitter.com/IyuMW2zPGQ

At this rate, Luka Doncic really is going to be the greatest player to ever lace up.
