Nick Kyrgios pulls off a spectacular tweener against Kyle Edmund
Nick Kyrgios displayed his proficient tennis skills as he beat Kyle Edmund in the round of 16 match at Queen’s.
The Aussie tennis star is going through a good run of form, and he shows his exquisite skills the round-of-16 match against Kyle Edmund at the Queen’s. Kyrgios beat Edmund 7-6, 6-7, 6-3 to reach the quarterfinals of the tournament.
It was quite an eventful match for the crowd and viewers alike, as Kyrgios mimicked Federer’s service action quite early in the match.
He imitated Roger Federer’s action while he was leading 40-0 with score at 2-2. However, it resulted in a double-fault. Although, that didn’t stop Kyrgios, as he rallied 32 aces while mimicking Federer’s serve throughout the match.
Kyrgios’ almost-perfect imitation of Roger Federer’s service-action left some of the tennis greats almost flabbergasted.
However, that was not the only thing which stood Kyrgios out in the match. During the game, he won a point with a brilliant tweeny lob, signifying that he’s in a brilliant run of form.

Kyrgios eventually won the game in three sets.
Talking about the tweener, former women’s no. 1 Tracey Austin said, “It’s an interesting talking point (the tweener) because I don’t think Nick does it (to disrespect his opponent). He does it because he’s possibly getting bored and likes the entertainment value.”
In the quarterfinal, Kyrgios defeated Spain’s Feliciano Lopez in straight sets, 7-6 7-6. He will now face Croatia’s Marin Cilic. The Croatian tennis star also registered a straight sets victory over USA’s Sam Querrey, as he won 7-6, 6-2.
