Hours before she made an appearance on the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards black carpet, Diab announced that she and Kaepernick had welcomed their first child.

The television host captioned an Instagram picture of her and her partner holding the infant, saying, “I chose to do so because today is the first day in a few weeks where I stepped out for work with a new life title – MOM!”
