Is Kevin Durant Playing Tonight vs Sixers? Nets Issue Injury Report for 12x All-Star
The Brooklyn Nets head to the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia to face the Sixers tonight. Having played four games on the road already, this marks their fifth and final game of the road trip. So far, the Nets have gone 2-2 on this trip and would like to seal things with a win. After their 17-point comeback win over the Warriors without Kevin Durant, the Nets would be in high spirits for tonight’s matchup.
So far, they’ve played six games since KD’s injury and have a 2-4 record during the same span. Heading to Philadelphia, the Nets would like to get a win and try and get closer to the 2nd seed.
However, the fans just have one question. Will Kevin Durant play tonight?
Kevin Durant is OUT for the matchup against the Sixers
Kevin Durant has been out for nearly two weeks now. It’s been a tough stretch for the Nets, but it looks like they’re getting closer to figuring out their way. Yesterday, we heard an update on KD’s injury, and it sure looks promising.
Recovery has progressed as hoped, but question will be if it makes sense to bring Durant back — if he’s ready — for only a few games ahead of All-Star break. Nets could give him even more time to rehab for resumption on Feb. 24. https://t.co/5j2FzDVt4l

This means KD will be OUT tonight, as indicated by the team’s latest injury report.
Status Report for tomorrow night’s game at Philadelphia:
Durant (right knee – MCL sprain) – OUT
Smith (G League – two-way) – OUT

Due to Kyrie Irving’s brilliance and Nic Claxton’s improvement, the Nets have been able to sustain the loss of their MVP candidate. They would hope to do the same and make sure they stay in a fighting position for when the Durantula returns.
