MS Dhoni pulls off a blinder in the 3rd T20I against England

Veteran keeper-batsman MS Dhoni pulled off a great catch to dismiss England Captain Eoin Morgan in the 3rd T20I against England.

India won the toss and decided to bowl first. Things did not turn out as planned as openers Jason Roy and Jos Buttler stuck into India. The first over that was bowled by Deepak Chahar itself went for plenty. The second over by Umesh Yadav was also not different.

Soon, England were on their way to a big score. The first breakthrough was given by Siddharth Kaul who sneaked through the defences of Jos Buttler to clean him up.

It was then debutante Deepak Chahar who dismissed Jason Roy on a slower delivery as Roy nicked one to MS Dhoni. After these dismissals, and two new batsman in Alex Hales and Eoin Morgan at the crease, that run rate obviously slowed down.

It was the first ball of the 13th over bowled by Hardik Pandya when Eoin Morgan tried to hoik the ball cross the line as it went straight up in the air.

However, Yuzvendra Chahal dropped the catch and also hurt himself in the process. As a result, he was taken off the field. On the very next ball, Pandey bowled a similar delivery and Morgan played a similar shot.

The ball this time went up in the air and MS Dhoni called for it. As always, Dhoni pouched a comfortable catch. However, as he had just taken the catch, he stumbled over the stumps and fell on the ground.

Dhoni saw the lighter side of it as he got up the very moment and started celebrating along with his teammates. This helped India to slow down England’s run rate.
