Virat Kohli celebrates Root’s wicket in style
A partnership that was threatening to take the match away from India’s grasp ended in a suicidal run attempt by Joe Root. The partnership between Joe Root and Jonny Bairstow was was on a roll. Rootb was not out at 80 and Bairstow at 80 odd.
Things were looking dire for India and they desperately needed a spark from somewhere. In situations like these it is that one extra effort that can pull up the team.
And who better than Virat Kohli to lead the charge. Kohli raced to the ball and threw off balance as Bairstow and Root tried to sneak a double.

The throw was bulls eye and hit the wickets directly.
The pitch looks quite dry and India would have to make a few more inroads to stamp their authority over the match. Ashwin has been clinical and can turn out to be India’s trump card in the match.
Mohammed Shami is someone who can also have a massive impact on the match if he hits his straps right away.
All in all, the wicket of Cook has kept the match wide open. All India need to do is to pick up a couple of more wickets to set the tone of the series.
As Root was on his way, it was time for Kohli to celebrate. He blew a couple of flying kisses towards Root. Then he mimicked Root for his bat-drop antics in the last ODI.
