WATCH: Jalen Brunson Gets Hilariously Smacked Up By His Own Teammate, Julius Randle, Kickstarting Oscar-Worthy Performance
Julius Randle and the Knicks are looking beyond imposing at the moment. Yes, they did lose Game 2 against the Cavaliers. However, there were far too many occasions where it seemed beyond impossible for them to lose this one. And of course, they have to set those times as their standard now, given that they now know they can do it.
Still, the Cavaliers did win Game 2 with the final score standing at 90-107, and the series now tied at 1-1. And we could talk further on all the boring stuff here… but how about we spice things up a bit?
You ever hear fans say that the game today is too soft, and on some level, find yourself agreeing with it? After all, you have all these players wailing and crying every time they get even slightly touched while playing the game. You’d think high-fives and handshakes probably give them some sort of a fracture. And well, we got a little hilarious example of that from the stars of the New York Knicks during this game.
Julius Randle smacks Jalen Brunson resulting in a hilarious reaction
Jalen Brunson is not somebody you’d consider a person of average height in the NBA. Sure, in the outside world, 6’2” is pretty tall. But, in a league where just the average is 6’5”, you’re generally going to be going into every game with a bit of a height disadvantage.
So, to fight that, Jalen Brunson enters every game with the mentality to draw as many fouls as possible. After all, it is one of the few advantages of his relatively smaller frame. All he really would have to do from there is exaggerate it to the point where he does get the foul.
However, it appears that the man also decided to use it on his own team during the recent game. More specifically here, his exaggeration of the contact with Julius Randle was absolutely hilarious. Take a look at it in the clip in the tweet below.

Of course, Jalen Brunson is absolutely fine. He did not, in fact, get hit in the eye. Neither did he get hit hard enough to justify that reaction. It was all just a little bit of his talent for making Oscar-worthy performances. And this clearly goes into that pile.
