2,626-Time-Dunker Shaquille O’Neal Was an Absolute Beast of a Man, as He Vehemently Reminds NBA Fans on His IG Stories
Shaquille O’Neal has crossed the half-century mark. He is now 51-years-old, and living life the way it should be lived, worth a whopping $400 million. So basically, the man has all the money in the world to do absolutely anything he wants. And as fans have joked about in the past, the big man does it to the farthest extent imaginable.
That said, most of his money has indeed come from his highly successful career in the NBA. And of course, being co-panelist on TNT’s ‘Inside the NBA’ doesn’t hurt how much money the sport has given you either. However, it may hurt something very different inside a former player. And apparently, as his IG story reveals, Shaq may have recently started hurting.
Shaquille O’Neal reminisces about what he used to be back in the day
During his career in the NBA, Shaquille O’Neal was the biggest bully of all time. He was a mean, not-so-lean, dunking machine, making grown men with families cry on television. And no, we’re not exaggerating any of that.
The reason O’Neal was so dominant is that the NBA had never seen his kind of athlete before. Sure, players could be big, but not athletic. And if they were athletic, they definitely couldn’t be big. And then came Shaq, who just decided that those boxes were no longer allowed to exist. Absolute animal.
Of course, it has been decades since those days. And while the Big Diesel has aged gracefully, his athleticism hasn’t. No, as he does for everyone else, father time eventually took most of O’Neal’s athleticism away. And if his recent Instagram story is anything to go by, the man can’t help but brood a little about it.

Then again, this is Shaq we’re talking about. This story could also be a reminder to everyone on the face of the planet just how great he was. And how it must never be forgotten. Which one it really is, admittedly is anybody’s guess.
The Big Aristotle is a smart man. Trying to figure out what goes in his head is a task akin to trying to find out what came first. The chicken, or the egg.
How many dunks did Shaquille O’Neal have? Does he have the top spot in NBA Regular season history?
Shaquille O’Neal dunked the basketball 2,626 times during the regular season. However, he is only second all-time on this list. The first is surprisingly (and rather annoyingly for Shaq), Dwight Howard, with a whopping 2950 of his own, over the course of his entire career.
