Charles Barkley is one of the premier sports analysts in the world. A former NBA superstar, Chuck rose to television superstardom as a member of TNT’s Inside The NBA.
First appearing in the year 2000, Sir Charles has been a mainstay on the crew for 23 years now. Safe to say he’s done a splendid job, all while working with the likes of Shaquille O’Neal, Kenny Smith, and Ernie Johnson. But, his television experience isn’t just limited to Inside the NBA.
The 1993 MVP has made appearances across several talk shows. He even has his own podcast with Ernie Johnson titled “The Steam Room”. Well, now, he’s about to add to his experience as he recently announced he will be co-hosting a CNN show, starting this fall.

Over the years, Charles Barkley has made quite a name for himself as a television personality. His work with Inside the NBA has made him one of the most popular figures in sports TV. And, based on reports, his hard work has paid off.
Sir Charles recently confirmed that he will be working as a co-host on CNN starting this fall. The show will feature both him and CBS News correspondent Gayle King. Hence, the name “King Charles”. Barkley commented on the new role, stating the program will try not to emulate “clickbait” journalism.

It’s clear, that Charles, who has a net worth of $70 million isn’t doing this for the money. After all, not only is he an accomplished businessman, but he also recently signed a $200 million contract with TNT.

As explained in the announcement, King Charles is a show that Charles Barkley chose to do because of the opportunity to work with Gayle King. The money involved had nothing to do with it. Why? Well apart from being exceptionally wealthy already, Charles recently signed a massive $200 million contract with TNT.
