Damian Lillard is a man whom everyone is watching with keen eyes. The Portland Trail Blazers guard is one of the top players in the NBA that any team would love to have. Well, based on recent statements the seven-time All-Star may be available this summer.

The Blazers are a team that looks like they’re leaning toward a rebuild. And, unfortunately, that is not something Lillard wants to be a part of. So, with all the cards on the table, it seems that he may be on his way out.

But, with no official announcement just yet, fans are on the edge of their seats every time Dame makes a move. So, when he was spotted in New York recently, fans went wild. But, an NBA Insider has shared the reason behind this visit, but it still leaves so much to the imagination.

Damian Lillard to release a new album as fans wonder if he will announce trade request via song

Damian Lillard was recently spotted in New York City at a Brooklyn Nets game. This appearance had many fans wondering what was the purpose of his visit. Was he there to scout out his future team? Did he come there on holiday? What was his purpose in the Big Apple?

Well, Chris Haynes has revealed that Dame D.O.L.L.A. was in New York for some meetings and some musical projects. And, in addition to this, Haynes who had a call with Lillard, revealed that the Trailblazers superstar will be dropping a new album next month.

An album that has many fans thinking, “Could Dame DOLLA be the first NBA player to make a trade request on a song?”.

“I pretty much knew the reason he went, but I made a call to Damian Lillard himself before we started this podcast. He told me he went there for some meetings and he went there for some musical projects he’s working on and he wanted me to announce that he’s dropping his new album next month. He didn’t give me the name, he didn’t give me who’s being featured on it as of right now, but he’s dropping his new album next month.”

It certainly would be an interesting way to request a trade. But, there can be no denying that Dame deserves it. He’s been a faithful servant to the Blazers and it’s now time for him to move on.

Where could Dame D.O.L.L.A. end up if he does decide to leave?

If he does decide to make the move, Damian Lillard’s options are not limited. There are several teams interested in securing his services. Chief among them is the Miami Heat, New York Knicks, and the Philadelphia 76ers.

All eyes will be on this off-season, but at the end of the day, it comes down to Dame. And, with the options available, he cannot go wrong no matter where he chooses to go.
