Vince McMahon Once Blatantly Called a Wrestling Legend “A Member Of The Taliban” During a Backstage Promo
Vince McMahon and WWE have found themselves in a new predicament yet again. It was reported earlier that Vince and WWE are being sued for stiff-arming a Black female writer who repudiated a pitch to a revolting and racist storyline. The WWE Chairman is now making the rounds for his racist storylines. A resurfaced video of Vince McMahon blatantly calling former WWE star Sabu a member of the Taliban substantiates that racist plots in WWE run deeper.
As it stands, McMahon and WWE are being sued for snubbing the writer, Brittany Abrahams, for objecting to a storyline that would see Mansoor reveal to the world that 9/11 was his doing. Of course, the idea was as preposterous as it was absurd, and was then nixed.
Ironically, WWE is in a lucrative 10-year deal with Saudi Arabia. The nation has a very healthy business relationship with WWE, despite the latter’s history of making racist storylines in the past.
Vince McMahon once brazenly called Sabu a member of the Taliban
In a resurfaced video, Vince McMahon is seen in a backstage promo blatantly calling Sabu a member of the Taliban. It appears that the promo took place in WWE’s then-third and now-defunct brand, ECW. McMahon referred to Sabu as a member of the Taliban due to the latter’s gimmick.
While such racist comments were shrugged off back then, times have changed now. Vince McMahon has a tunnel vision for WWE’s success. However, in his quest to reach the end of the tunnel, he has trodden a lot of toes.
Hardcore wrestling and ECW are synonymous with Sabu. The Suicidal, Homicidal, and Death Defying superstar was famous for donning the Arabian headdress. The ECW original wrestled his final match in WWE on May 1st before being released by the company.
Aside from being a fixture in ECW, the hardcore legend is also famous for his stints with TNA and the Independent circuit. The 58-year-old announced his retirement from in-ring action on November 5, 2021.
Vince McMahon calling him a member of The Taliban on TV probably didn’t help, either.

Sabu was recently hospitalized while making an appearance at the Squared Circle Expo
Earlier this month, Hardcore legend Sabu was hospitalized due to an undisclosed health issue. While making an appearance at the Squared Circle Expo in Indianapolis, the wrestling legend was rushed to the nearest hospital due to a medical emergency.
His fans and other wrestling personalities grew solicitous about Sabu’s health. However, days later, the two-time ECW Champion relieved his fans by announcing he was feeling better.
Hello everyone I am doing better and thank you for your well wishes ☝️
