The Sacramento Kings are like hotcakes right now. Everyone wants a piece. The fast-flowing lethal offense might have bowed out of the Playoffs this year but they have earned everyone’s respect. But there was a time when Shaquille O’Neal didn’t care about the Kings. And he even did a freestyle on the team bus to prove that.   

Last night’s 50-point performance from Stephen Curry was perhaps the final dagger into the hearts of Kings fans but as the postseason drags on, we will be sure to bring out more moments of their past failures.

They may be poised for success in the future but now is the time to take some hilarious jabs. Shaq didn’t hold back, even when they were good!

From dissing Vlade Divac to hyping Kobe Bryant, Shaq did it all in the video, no doubt the Kings fan went into hiding that year. Shaq was responsible for destroying them and sending them home.

Shaq thoroughly dominated the Kings that year

In Game 1 of the WCF vs the Kings, Shaq scored 44 points, grabbed 21 rebounds, and blocked 7 shots, leading the Lakers to a 106-99 victory. He followed up that performance with another dominant showing in Game 2, scoring 43 points and grabbing 20 rebounds.

Shaq’s dominance continued throughout the series. He averaged an incredible 36.3 points and 12.8 rebounds per game, leading the Lakers to a hard-fought 4-3 series victory over the Kings.

The Lakers eventually went on to win the NBA championship. Shaq won his third straight finals MVP making him one of the most dominant centers ever to play the game.
