“Kevin Durant Is No Longer HIM”: Skip Bayless Berates Suns Star For Struggle in Game 6, Puts Ceiling on Devin Booker

The Phoenix Suns came into Game 6 with a belief to repeat what they did in Games 3 and 4. However, neither Kevin Durant nor Devin Booker was looking like themselves in the must-win game against the Nuggets throughout the first half. And Skip Bayless wasted no time in berating the 13x All-Star for it.

Trailing by 30 points at the halftime of the elimination game for the Suns, the ever-efficient KD, was at one point 1/10. D-Book, who has been unrealistically efficient this post-season, was also 4-of-11 around the same time.

That’s when the Fox Sports analyst got on to the Suns’ duo.

Skip Bayless doesn’t believe Kevin Durant is HIM anymore, takes a jab at Devin Booker

The 71-year-old veteran analyst who has a terrible relationship with the 2x Finals MVP, blasted him as he struggled to lead his team against Nikola Jokic and Co. Booker caught the ire as well.

“Devin Booker finally hit the playoff wall. Kevin Durant (0-4 in the 1st quarter) is no longer HIM. The suns just got blown off their own floor. Such a sad, sorry way to end a season that had such promise, until CP3 pulled his groin.” Skip Tweeted.

He did not stop at that and trolled the 6ft 10′ forward saying, “Kevin Du-can’t is back when it mattered most.”

He continued with the Book slander as well and tweeted,

“I never thought I’d say this about a Devin Booker team: But tonight the Suns played with no heart or pride. Such an embarrassment.”

How bad were the Suns’ duo?

When the Suns needed them the most, Booker (4/12) and Durant (2/11) had a combined 19 points as they trailed the Nuggets 81-51 at halftime.

Forget the Joker and Jamal Murray, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope had 21 points at that time. It was Phoenix’s Cam Payne who had 19 of the home team’s 51 points.

On a night where they were playing without Chris Paul and Deandre Ayton, this duo should have upped their game if anything. It was another thing if they got beat by Jokic without their big man, but almost every Nuggets player is outperforming them in their backyard as we speak. So overall, it’s hard to contest Skip Bayless’s words.
