To Further Boost Her $270 Million Net Worth, Serena Williams Joins Tom Brady as a Business Advisor at Consello Group
After her retirement from tennis upon establishing herself as the greatest player of all time, Serena Williams has started a new chapter of her life. The reason she retired last year was in order to focus on motherhood and her business endeavors. Since her retirement, the star athlete has made several money moves. Most recently, the 23x Grand Slam champion joined future Hall of Famer Tom Brady as a business advisor at Consello Group.
According to Yahoo! Sports, the tennis superstar, is believed to have a net worth of approximately $270 million. Serena Ventures, her private equity firm, has made investments in more than 60 startups, such as Tonal, an AI fitness company for home workouts, and Zigazoo, a social media platform aimed at children. By joining Brady at Consello, Williams aims to further boost her gigantic net worth.
Serena Williams embarks on a new adventure as an advisor
Consello Group collaborates with clients in the banking sector, offering a range of financial services including M&A advisory, investment banking, digital assets, and business development. The company was established in 2022 by Declan Kelly, former CEO of Teneo, a PR and consulting firm.
Later on, Tom Brady joined in as a partner, and Pau Gasol joined the advisory board of Consello Group. Without a doubt, roping in Serena, who is one of the most influential athletes in the history of tennis, is going to to add a lot of value to the organization. While exactly how much Serena will make in her new role is not known, given her credentials, it would be fair to say that she will definitely rake in the moolah through her latest venture.
“[Consello] is excited and honored to have Serena join our team and we know she will bring significant value to our clients on both the financial advisory side, as well as our private equity portfolio companies,” Consello Group partner Mindy Grossman said in a statement as per Front Office Sports.
Serena Williams welcomed her new colleague TB12 to the retirement world
In February 2023, the former star quarterback of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced that he had retired from the NFL. It was a tough season for him and his team because they barely managed to advance to the playoffs. Hence, Brady thought that it was the right time to hang his cleats.
Even though many fans could not believe that the seven-time Super Bowl champion had finally retired, he seemed sentimental in the 53-second video he had uploaded. The emotional video gained a lot of attention and even ended up receiving a fun reaction from Serena Williams.

Williams had been a lifelong fan of Touchdown Tom and recognizes him as the GOAT of football. Hence, when the 45-year-old former quarterback uploaded the video on Instagram in which she announced his retirement, Williams trusted him with a playful quip.
She wrote in the comment section, “I’m getting teary eyed watching this. Sad to see you go. Welcome to the retirement world…. Again.”
Even though it was the second time Brady announced his retirement, many were skeptical, as he had un-retired in a mater of 40 days in 2022. However, this time around, it seems like he won’t repeat what he did last year.
