Lewis Hamilton accuses media of spreading false news
Lewis Hamilton accuses media of spreading false news as he feels his statements are being misinterpreted.
Lewis Hamilton had to settle for second spot today, as Sebastian Vettel and Ferrari proved to be a little too quick for him on race day at Spa.
The Brit had started the race from pole position, but soon lost out on his lead as Vettel took advantage of Ferrari’s extra power on the straights to go past Hamilton and take the lead.
From then on, Vettel managed the race to perfection, and Hamilton was left a little frustrated after the race.
Lewis spoke about the massive gap in pace between Ferrari and Mercedes and how he had always expected the Ferrari to get past him on the straights at Spa.
He spoke about some ‘Ferrari tricks’ that were being deployed in order to get that speed going, a statement that sprung a huge debate in the F1 world, about Lewis sulking after his loss.
The media did cover the news about the Lewis Hamilton, something that did not bode well with the 4 time champion, as he called a few news outlets out for publishing a false story.
In his Instagram story, Lewis took an example of a headline from the Sunday express and quoted it as false news.
The headline was about Lewis calling out Ferrari for using ‘tricks’ in order to get past Mercedes.

“We all have trick things on our cars,” he said in the press conference
“Trick is just a word for something special, I guess.
“I’m not saying that there’s anything illegal on [it]. I’m just saying we all have something trick.
“Trick is just something that helps you bring that extra bit of performance. That’s all I mean. I don’t mean anything to it so please don’t read into it and please don’t twist my words and say that I say they’re doing anything illegal because they’re not.” he added.
