Skip Bayless’ Boldly Predicts LeBron James Leading the Lakers to Break ‘0-3’ Playoffs Curse: “Getting Swept all Eight Times”
Until now, no NBA team has ever been able to win a Playoff series after being 3-0 down. The LA Lakers have been dominated by Nikola Jokic’s Denver Nuggets and are on the verge of crashing out. However, long-term fan Skip Bayless appears to believe that there is still some hope for the yellow and purple. LeBron James might not be in the best of form, but plenty of people still expect a response. Bayless believes that the Lakers will break the duck of being swept 8 times.
On Twitter, Bayless claimed that the LA Lakers are different this time around. They were swept each of the 8 times they have been 3-0 down in a series. The Undisputed analyst also claimed that that record was going to change tonight.
Eight times in their history the Lakers have been down 0-3. Not once did they ever win a Game 4, getting swept all eight times. Tonight, that changes. Now on @undisputed

Skip Bayless expects LeBron and company to win game 4
LA Lakers fans will not only be worried about being 3-0 down. The fact is that LeBron James during these Playoffs has not scored more than 30 points even once.
LeBron’s shooting efficiency has lingered around the 40% mark during both games 2 and 3. James during his prime was capable of winning such a series single-handedly for his team.
However, at the age of 38, that seems to be no longer true. Despite that the former Cavalier has plenty of supporters who are still expecting him to deliver.

That includes Skip Bayless, who claimed that the Lakers will not be swept despite being 3-0 down. Bayless posted the following on Twitter:
“Eight times in their history the Lakers have been down 0-3. Not once did they ever win a Game 4, getting swept all eight times. Tonight, that changes.”
Bayless thinks Lakers fans do not believe in LeBron James
Bayless had recently also claimed that LeBron does not have the support of the entire Lakers’ fanbase. Speaking on Undisputed, the 71-year-old had said that some of the Lakers’ fans viewed James as an outsider.
Bayless claimed that this was because a number of fans thought he had merely come to “cherry-pick” an NBA title late in his career. LeBron made the move back in 2018. They won the 2020 NBA title but are looking at yet another premature Playoff exit.
There is little doubt that LeBron James is no longer the player that he once was. James has not been able to dominate proceedings as one would expect and has looked listless for large periods of the series against the Nuggets. While nobody expects the Lakers to pull off a comeback, not getting swept might still be a reasonable possibility.
