“Legends”: Fans React as Khabib Nurmagomedov Returns to Training With Daniel Cormier & Belal Muhammad at AKA
It has been over three years since Khabib Nurmagomedov, the former lightweight champion retired from professional fighting. However, the Russian MMA legend couldn’t keep himself away from the sport. He used to train his teammates and friends for their MMA careers. ‘The Eagle’ was having a successful coaching career until he announced his retirement earlier this year. Nurmagomedov revealed that his obsession with MMA has caused him to neglect his family. As a result, he took a hiatus.
Interestingly, ‘The Eagle’ has returned to the gym. He was recently seen working out with his old team. The post elicited ecstasy among Team Khabib supporters. Let’s take a look at some fan reactions.
Fans react Khabib Nurmagomedov returns to the gym
Khabib Nurmagomedov recently posted a photo from his recent training session on his official Instagram account. ‘The Eagle’ is a prolific social media user, constantly sharing information about his business and lifestyle with fans.
Nurmagomedov is seen inside the American Kickboxing Academy (AKA Gym) where he trained throughout his UFC career. The Russian fighter posed alongside Daniel Cormier, Cain Velasquez, and Abubakar Nurmagomedov.

Interestingly, UFC welterweight sensation Belal Muhammad, a recent member of Team Khabib, is also in the mix. Muhammad has improved since training with Nurmagomedov throughout some of his fights. Nurmagomedov captioned the post:
“Today was old school wrestling.”

Nurmagomedov’s success as a coach
With an unblemished 29-0 record, ‘The Eagle’ is without a doubt one of the finest MMA fighters on the globe. After retiring from fighting, Nurmagomedov became a successful coach.
He worked with his friends, who included UFC lightweight Islam Makhachev and Bellator great Usman Nurmagomedov. Surprisingly, both fighters are now champions of their respective leagues.
As a result, it is reasonable to conclude that ‘The Eagle’ has proven himself in various aspects of MMA. After retiring, Nurmagomedov also continues to run his many MMA-related enterprises. Overall, the Russian star is doing well after leaving the UFC.
