It has all come come down to where it had started as far as Indian Premier League 2023 is concerned. In spite of a grand total of 72 matches across almost a couple of months in between, the final match of the tournament will be played between the same two teams which had stepped on to the field in the first match of the season at the same venue.

Going to be only their second encounter in Ahmedabad, Chennai are yet to defeat Gujarat at their home ground. Out of the three matches that they’ve played in the city in the history of the competition, the visitors have never been able to end up on the winning side.
