Despite Lewis Hamilton’s Blessings, Question Marks Placed on Max Verstappen-Red Bull Dominance

The entirety of the 2022 season and then the 2023 season so far has been a complete Max Verstappen show. The 25-year-old not only won 21 times out of a total of 30 races but also won them by miles. Despite such dominance, a huge question mark is placed on the Dutchman by Ralf Schumacher.

With the recent win in Canada, Verstappen completed his 41st career race victory and, in doing so, he equaled the record held by the great Ayrton Senna. Furthermore, he also earned Red Bull their 100th race win.

As Verstappen is looking unstoppable on the grid, Lewis Hamilton believes the Red Bull driver can break his records of most wins. Hamilton currently holds the record with 103 wins.

Hamilton is of the opinion that at this speed, the two-time world champion is surely going to catch him in the foreseeable future. But, Schumacher might differ from Hamilton’s opinion with a question in mind.

Schumacher asks the Verstappen question

There’s hardly a doubt over the Red Bull star’s driving prowess or his sheer racing talent. However, much of this is heavily dependent on the car Red Bull makes.

As Verstappen still has the most dominant car on the grid alongside Sergio Perez, he is sure to enjoy the dominance. But till when asks the former F1 driver.

Speaking on the Dutchman’s talent and then asking, the German international told Sky Germany, “Max controlled the action, even though it wasn’t the ideal Red Bull track.”

However, it is still a long way to Lewis Hamilton’s winning record, so we will have to wait and see how far his dominance lasts,” further asserted the 47-year-old, as per Planet F1.

Verstappen carefree about records

While much has been talked about Max Verstappen overtaking Ayrton Senna, or will soon be on his way to breaking Sebastian Vettel, Michael Schumacher, or Hamilton’s records, the driver himself is carefree about that.

The 25-year-old is proud of his achievement and isn’t worried about records now since he wasn’t bothered about them at any point, as per Robb Report.

With the wish to take Red Bull’s race win to 200 or more and increase his tally further, all Verstappen is focused on now is on winning more races.
