Chennai Super Kings’ series of tweets on India’s thrilling win
Chennai Super Kings’ series of tweets on India’s thrilling win: The IPL franchise seemed satisfied at India’s victory.
During the final match of the Asia Cup between India and Bangladesh at Dubai, India beat Bangladesh by 3 wickets in an electrifying manner. The match went down to the wire as India sealed the chase on the last ball of the match.
Needing a run to win the match, the injured Kedar Jadhav was successful enough to run a leg-bye behind the wickets. In a tournament which had presented numerous tightly-fought encounters, this one will go down as the best of the lot.
An IPL franchise in Chennai Super Kings seemed contended and overjoyed as India manged to lift their seventh Asia Cup title. In a match which saw a plethora of reactions, Super Kings’ way of expressing their joy for the players of their franchise was highly admiring.
In Mahendra Singh Dhoni (37), Kedar Jadhav (36) and Ravindra Jadeja (23*), three of Super Kings’ players had taken part in this match. With all of them contributing in one way or the other to the Indian victory, their official account uploaded a series of tweets.
Jadhav had come out to bat at No. 6 in the 31st over when Dinesh Karthik was dismissed. Scoring a four and a six straight away, he made a positive start which wasn’t to be continued as he ended up injuring his hamstring while taking a quick run. Jadhav eventually had to retire, causing a lot of nerves in both the dressing room and on the field.
After the 45-stand between Ravindra Jadeja and Bhuvneshwar Kumar was broken, Jadhav came out to bat. Perhaps, it was his presence in the last two overs which promoted calmness among the Indian bowlers. Jadhav had played a more dramatic but a similar knock in the first match of this year’s Indian Premier League against Mumbai Indians, scoring a six and a four in the last over to win the match for CSK.
