I am only thinking about the money, says Durant about being a free agent next season

Kevin Durant is an important cog in the Golden State Warriors wheel and will be of extreme importance this season, if Golden State want to defend their NBA title.

Having already secured the services of DeMarcus Cousins, Golden State will have 5 all starters in their starting 5 and with the chemistry that they already share, it could be really tricky to uproot them from their dominant self.

But all of that could be disrupted next season, with KD becoming a free agent, and possibly moving away from Golden State.

KD hasn’t quite committed his future to Golden State, but the GSW authorities are confident that they should be able to tie down the big man and continue their domination.

However, KD doesn’t really want to focus too much on where his future lies and wants to focus on the task at hand.

But KD has admitted that all he is thinking about is this season and the amount of money that he’ll be getting next season.

“I’m not thinking about none of that s**t,” Durant said as quoted by Athletic.

“I’m really locked in with the team.” he added.

“He lying” Iguodala said, as the locker room burst into laughter.

Durant then spoke about the money he should be getting next season and how he is excited about that as he has seen a lot of his peers making tons of money while getting new contracts.

“I am thinking about the money I’m going to get,” Durant said.

“I never got the (massive) deal. I’ve just seen a bunch of dudes around the league making so much money — and I’m happy for them. But I know I deserve that, too. That’s the only thing I’m probably thinking about, to be honest.” he concluded.

The Knicks have already tried luring KD to join them and a lot of other teams would also be joining them in order to secure the services of KD for the next season.

But for the moment, with the way KD and Golden State Warriors are playing, KD could be on his way to another ring.
