Kimi Raikkonen’s hilarious post after Brazil GP
Kimi Raikkonen secured his 12th podium finish of the season in Brazil last night when he secured 3rd place behind Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen.
Raikkonen drove solidly all through the grand prix and goes into his final race in a Ferrari car with a lot of good results under his belt.
Ever since his move to boyhood team Sauber has been announced, Raikkonen has been simply brilliant behind the wheel at Ferrari, having outscored Vettel since Italy.
With one final race to go before he bids Ferrari goodbye, Raikkonen would want to end things on a high note.
Now, while the race last night was marred by controversy towards the end, with Ocon and Verstappen coming together, Raikkonen kind of brought the social media to look at the hilarious side of Formula 1 by posting a brilliant picture of his on the podium.
A few girls had jumped onto the podium during the celebration, trying to make the drivers do the Samba.
While Verstappen had exited the podium celebrations quite early following that painful collision with Ocon, Raikkonen and Hamilton stayed on.
Hamilton and the Mercedes were ecstatic as they had won the constructor’s championship and Hamilton had secured victory on a circuit where Mercedes were finding it tough to make the tyres work.
Raikkonen let Mercedes and Hamilton have their moment and stayed away from the Samba celebrations. But he later came up with a hilarious Instagram post for the same, putting up the image of the celebrations and terming it as ‘party mode’.
Mercedes and Ferrari are both believed to have had a party mode for their car during the season and maybe Raikkonen just wanted to have a cheeky reference made on it on the day Mercedes clinched the constructor’s title.
