WATCH: Ravindra Jadeja runs-out Usman Khawaja
Jadeja runs-out Usman Khawaja: The Indian all-rounder ran out the Australian top-order batsman with a brilliant direct hit.
During the second ODI of the ongoing India’s tour of Australia at Adelaide, India all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja put in an extra-ordinary fielding effort to find Australia batsman Usman Khawaja short of his crease at the non-striker’s end.
Already two down, Jadeja’s heroics sent back another Australian batsman. The fact that it broke a 56-run run partnership was relishing for India. It is worth mentioning that the pair of Khawaja and Shaun Marsh had added 92 runs for the third wicket in the first ODI at Sydney.
Ravindra Jadeja’s direct hit to send back Usman Khawaja broke his 56-run stand with Shaun Marsh, but Australia cross the 100-run mark.

It all happened on the third ball of the 19th over when Khawaja ran for a single after pushing a Kuldeep Yadav delivery through the off-side. Jadeja, who was fielding at cover-point, ran toward his left to pick the ball and throw it at the stumps in a jiffy.
With the ball hitting the stumps directly and Khawaja out of his crease, he had no option than to walk back to the pavilion. Khawaja ended up scoring 21 (23) with the help of three fours.

This is the reason Jadeja finds a place in the team. Chahal may be a better bowler, but due to batting and excellent fielding Jaddu gets a nod.#AUSvIND

With the new ball opening pair of Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Mohammad Shami dismissing the opposition’s opening batsmen, Khawaja’s wicket must have been the next top aim of the Indian side.
Earlier, Australia captain Aaron Finch won the toss and chose to bat for the second time in a row. While Australia named an unchanged playing XI, India handed an ODI debut to Mohammad Siraj, who replaced Khaleel Ahmed in the playing XI.
