IPL 2019 News: BCCI to announce IPL 2019 schedule tomorrow, say reports
BCCI to announce IPL 2019 schedule: The Indian cricket board is expected to announce IPL 2019 schedule tomorrow.
Around a month ago, BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) had made public the development that the 12th season of the IPL (Indian Premier League) will commence from March 23 and will be played in India.
There were loud noises of the tournament being shifted to out of India due to inappropriate security because of the General Elections. Some reports had even suggested the tournament being played in either of South Africa or United Arab Emirates.

While the announcement had come as a respite for each and every stakeholder of the tournament, it had made people wait regarding the final schedule of the IPL 2019. Having said that, there has not been any update on the fixtures till now.
If reports in Mumbai Mirror are to be believed, the BCCI will announce the schedule of the upcoming IPL season on Monday (February 4), i.e., tomorrow. It is worth mentioning that there are murmurs of this being the provisional schedule which will be susceptible to changes after the Election Commission reveals its dates for this year’s General Elections.

According to reports in CricTracker.com, the imminent season of the IPL will do away with home and away format of the tournament. Given the general elections are likely to happen at the same time, the scheduling for the cash-rich tournament is said to have traveled a daunting path.
The other two time when the elections were schedule to happen at the same time as the IPL, the tourney was moved to South Africa (2009) and UAE (2014). It is worth mentioning that a major part of the tournament was conducted in India in 2014.
A major reason why the tournament cannot be postponed is the looming ICC Cricket World cup 2019 which will begin from May 30.
