CSK VS RCB : Weather report for match 1 | IPL 2019 News
We bring you the weather report for the game one between Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore.
The reigning Indian Premier League Champions Chennai Super Kings will take on Royal Challengers Bangalore in the opener at MA Chidambaram Stadium on Saturday. It has not been a happy hunting ground for Virat Kohli and co as the Challengers last victory in this venue came during the inaugural season in 2008.

Bengaluru have lost their last six games to MS Dhoni’s Super Kings with their last win coming at Ranchi four years before. The fortunes of both the sides have been contrasting in this tournament. The hosts are currently leading the pack with three Championships along with Mumbai Indians, whilst Bangalore are yet to get their hands on the silverware despite boasting some commandable names over the last decade.
WEATHER REPORT:
The temperature is expected to drop down to 29-degree Celsius at 8 PM, but the humid level, as usual, will be higher at Chennai. The humid level is expected to be around 60 which should not affect the player’s performance to a larger extent.

PITCH REPORT:
The pitch is anticipated to favor the batsmen, but spinners will have their say as the game progresses. When Chennai Super Kings played their only game at Chepauk during the last edition, it turned out to be a high scoring clash against Sunrisers Hyderabad. The visitors scored 178 which was comfortably chased down by Chennai with nine balls to spare, thanks to a fine-fettle century from Shane Watson to cross the line with serenity.
The last time RCB beat CSK at Chepauk:
1)Virat Kohli had not played for India
2)Anil Kumble was India’s Test captain
3)Sachin had 81 international tons
4)MS Dhoni had captained India in 32 international games

Hard to believe that tonight’s match is the only second #IPL game to be played in the cricket-crazy city of Chennai in the last four years!#CSK‘s record last 13 games since 22 April 2013 at Chepauk – Won 12, Lost 1 – W W W W W W W W W W L W W #fortress#CSKvRCB

The average first innings score at Chepauk is 166, whilst the sides batting second have averaged only 144. Besides, in the last eight encounters, the side batting first have won their game on seven occasions. From the above mentioned points, it is inevitable that the side batting first has an outmost advantage going into the game.
