Hardik Pandya’s furious gesture after dismissing David Miller: Mumbai Indians all-rounder was expressive after taking first wicket.

During the 24th match of the ongoing 12th season of the Indian Premier League between Mumbai Indians and Kings XI Punjab at Mumbai, Mumbai Indians all-rounder Hardik Pandya put on display a lot of emotions after he got his first wicket.

It all happened on the last delivery of the 15th over when Kings XI Punjab batsman David Miller edged a Hardik Pandya delivery to Indians wicket-keeper Quinton de Kock. Coming in to bat at No. 3, Miller ended up scoring 7 (8).

The southpaw was promoted in the batting order in a bid to keep the momentum going which created by Punjab opening batsman Chris Gayle.

Hardik Pandya’s furious gestures were perhaps because of him going for plenty in his first over. Introduced into the attack as the third change bowler in the ninth over, Hardik Pandya was seen being hit for 17 runs by Gayle.

On the ball before dismissing Miller, Hardik had displayed similar emotions after he had bowled a wide delivery. In the four overs which Hardik bowled tonight, he ended up conceding 57 runs. Other than Miller, he also dismissed Karun Nair (5) in the 17th over.

After Mumbai Indians captain Kieron Pollard won the toss and put the visitors in to bat, KXIP scored 197/4 in their allotted quota of 20 overs. Opening batsman Lokesh Rahul top-scored for his team registering his maiden IPL hundred. Carrying his bat through, Rahul ended up scoring 100* (64) with the help of six fours and six sixes.
