Sebastian Vettel still calls Racing Point as Force India; slams their Friday and Sunday tactics big time ahead of Chinese GP
Sebastian Vettel and Ferrari were the quickest during FP1 today, with Vettel having to settle foe second place in FP2, handing the number 1 spot to Valtteri Bottas.
The two free practice sessions had a lot of action today though, with drivers very vocal about conditions with their team radio. However, it could also be a reason of FOM treating the audience to more team and driver radio stuff.
Now, Vettel is surely under the pump for this GP, after having spun his way out of a podium finish in Bahrain. He has received criticism from all parts, with the media and critics labelling him as someone who isn’t made to perform under pressure
Hamilton and Vettel were involved in a brilliant wheel-to-wheel tussle in Bahrain, with Vettel spinning and handing over the advantage to Hamilton.
With pressure soaring high, Vettel is for sure venting a little anger out during Free practice, wanting to get rid of the unwanted energies and channelise everything into winning the race on Sunday.
So much so that, he went all out in calling out the Racing Point car that was right in front of him for blocking his way. Vettel exclaimed that he felt the ‘Force India’ raced tougher on Friday than on Sunday.

Sebastian Vettel and Ferrari would be hoping that all reliability issues have been ironed out and Ferrari can go all out in challenging the Mercedes duo in China, as they desperately need the points. For Vettel, a podium finish seems the minimum for China, as he hasn’t been up there yet and would want to taste some kind of victory before the season enters its European leg.
