Solskjaer’s chit to Rashford picked up by Ter Stegen | Barcelona vs Manchester United
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer handed a chit of instructions to Marcus Rashford, and it was picked up by Ter Stegen. This moment was captured on cameras during the second leg.
Barcelona registered a comprehensive 3-0 win over Manchester United in the second leg of the quarterfinal tie, as the side reached the semifinals of the Champions League.
Lionel Messi scored a brace while Phil Coutinho returned to goalscoring with a spectacular shot from outside the box to put the tie to bed.
However, a rather interesting moment was captured on the cameras, which emerged on social media late after the game.
The cameras caught Solskjaer handing over a paper to Marcus Rashford. The English youngster read his manager’s instructions and threw the paper just outside the box.
Unluckily for Rashford, Marc-Andre ter Stegen, the Barcelona keeper, saw it all. He picked up the paper and read Solskjaer’s confidential instructions.
Solskjaer’s chit, read by Ter Stegen!
While the Barcelona keeper took the advantage, it was unlikely that Manchester United would’ve made a comeback even if he didn’t.
Lionel Messi ran riot through the visitor’s defence in the game, and it looked unlikely that Solskjaer’s men could repeat the PSG result at Camp Nou.
Here’s the full video of the Solskjaer-Rashford-Ter Stegen incident:

Suddenly bored Marc-Andre ter Stegen picks it up and read it. You cant make stuff like this up. Absolute Classic 😂 #BARMUN #UCL ⚽️ pic.twitter.com/9NXK4ncFfC
