After another action filled week of the Premier League, we now head to the international break. Here are the Premier League top 5 players of the week.

5) Raheem Sterling

Sterling continued his good form under new Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola. After providing a couple of assists to Nolito last week, Sterling joined the goal scoring bandwagon himself.

David Silva was the architect of the first goal, sliding a wonderful through ball into the path of Nolito, who picked out Sterling with a venomous cross. The ex-Liverpool striker making no mistake in side-footing a powerful finish past West Ham goalkeeper Adrian.

Sterling also finished off the game late on, with David Silva providing the assist this time.

4) Jamie Vardy

Jamie Vardy came into this week having failed to score in Leicester’s competitive matches this season. The Englishman struggled initially, with a couple of misplaced passes and tame shots. His work rate improved as managed to outwit Naughton and forced a foul from Fernandez.

He finally had his moment just after the half hour mark. Drinkwater clipped a fine pass over the defence for Vardy, who rifled in his 50th Premier League goal in off the post.

3) Alexis Sanchez

Arsenal were desperate for their first win of the season. And they found their talisman in the former Barcelona man.  Sanchez once again lead the line for the away side, with Mesut Ozil coming into the hole behind the Chile international.

As the first half seemed to be ending 1-0 in Arsenal’s favour, Sanchez came into his own. First he managed to squeeze a finish over the line, with a looping, improvised finish. Next he curled an inviting cross into Ozil’s path with the German tapping in from eight yards out. This effectively killed the game.

2) Willian

Willian came into the starting line-up at the expense of Pedro. He took the Spaniard’s place on the right. In the 14th minute, Willian carved open the Burnley defence with a neat throughball for Ivanovic.

He also created oppurtunities for the likes of Hazard and John Terry during the first half. He finally had his moment five minutes before half time. Costa played him in down the right flank and space opened up for the midfielder to drive his strike across Burnley goalkeeper, Heaton and into the bottom corner.

1) Eden Hazard

Just like his Brazilian team mate, Hazard too had a brilliant game against Burnley. On the ninth minute, he found the net to hand Chelsea the lead. It was a sublime finish from the Belgian as he curled the ball into the bottom corner after running at Burnley defender, Keane following a swift counter from the Blues.

Thereafter, he created more chances for Diego Costa and Azpilicueta. Near the hour mark, Hazard nearly notched up his second goal, but could not keep a powerful shot on target.
