Fact Check: Did Jalen Green’s Baby Mama Draya Michelle Call Bronny James Her ‘Soulmate’? Dismissing Rampant Rumor

Bronny James’ personal life has been in the public eye for years now. So much so that even the minutest of details or incidents get reported. It does however, get tricky, when the ‘news’ in question is speculative, and fuels controversy. The latest is the one talking about his involvement with Draya Michelle.

Claim: According to a post by known social media troll account, NBACentel, Michelle has come out and stated that James Jr. is her ‘soulmate’.

Verdict: All Claims are false.

This rumor is not true and nipping it in the bud is of utmost importance.

NBACentel has become popular of late and social media users get misled by their posts day in and day out.

Parody accounts on the NBA started getting traction a couple years back with BallsackSports rising to prominence. NBACentel then took the reins. The name is a spoof spinoff of the legitimate news account, NBACentral. Because the names as well as their profile pictures are similar, people get fooled at first glance.

There is a pressing reason why Centel chose this specific false rumor to spread. It has a lot to do with the highly public relationships both Michelle and Bronny are currently in.

Bronny’s relationship with Parker Whitfield is well-known to the masses. Parker is the daughter of actors Dondre Whitfield and Salli Richardson-Whitfield. James Jr. and Parker met at Sierra Canyon High School. Their relationship seems to be still going strong even as she attends university in Georgia.

Michelle, on the other hand, has a more complicated relationship. She’s currently involved with Houston Rockets star, Jalen Green. Michelle, 39, gets quite a bit of flak for this relationship because of her age difference with Green, who is 22.

Green and Michelle are going strong though. They welcomed their first child, a daughter, in May 2024. The two have remained together despite Green having a child with another woman during the course of their relationship.

Evidently, both Michelle and Bronny are on different paths, romantically speaking.
