Patrick Bet-David believes that when an “alpha” like Tom Brady marries another “alpha” like Gisele Bündchen, their relationship is destined for turmoil. The Yankees minority owner argued that he and his panelists at Your Next Five Moves believe that Brady is wealthier, more popular than his ex-wife, but the numbers state otherwise. So much so that it may have cost Brady his marriage.

Gisele currently boasts 23 million Instagram followers on Instagram, compared to Brady’s 15 million. This gap in online fame, along with a larger net worth and greater international recognition, is why Bet-David believes that Gisele “thinks very highly of herself.”

“I think she thought she was bigger than Brady. I mean, I’m being honest with you. Go on Instagram. Who’s got more followers? I think it’s probably her. I think she probably thinks, ‘I’m more famous than you.’”

To this date, the real reason for Brady and Gisele’s divorce is a hush-hush affair. The Brazilian supermodel has repeatedly stated that the divorce was nothing but the “death of a dream” and that she has no ill feelings toward her ex-husband during the 2023 March Vanity Fair interview.

So, from what Bet-David sees on the surface, it appears that the two separated because Gisele felt she should prioritize her own life. With a net worth of $300 million compared to Brady’s $100 million, she likely had no second thoughts about her decision. Everything, when compared, seems to lean toward Gisele, and Bet-David believes this is the reason she chose to move on.

However, beyond the money and social media comparisons, Brady and Gisele are beloved by many fans around the world. That makes the duo special on their own.

Regarding relationships, while Gisele is now comfortable with Joaquim Valente, Brady has been mostly silent about his love life.
