Robert Kubica crash at Azerbaijan GP: Williams driver crashes into wall at castle section making it a sorry weekend for Williams
Robert Kubica has crashed into the wall at the castle section, adding to the Williams woes this weekend at the Azerbaijan GP. the Polish driver did not calculate the braking point to perfection and ended up slamming the car into the wall.
He however came out unhurt, much to the delight of the entire F1 fraternity.
Williams have had a torrid time in Baku this weekend, with George Russell’s car suffering significant damage due to a loose drain on the circuit. His car floor has suffered significant damage and he couldn’t run during FP3.
The start of Q2 has been delayed due to the incident, with the officials at Baku repairing the barrier.
Robert Kubica brought about a messy end to Q1 in Baku, burying his @WilliamsRacing into the barrier at the entry to the castle section. There’s now a small delay as the marshals repair the damage to the track #F1 #AzerbaijanGP

That should bring Kubica’s Qualifying session to the end, with a lot to do during the race, as he would be starting from the back. Williams with their extra slow package have already suffered a lot, and will have to hope for some luck on raceday to get anywhere off the bottom off the grid.
