PBL 2017- Wrap Up of Awadhe Warriors vs Mumbai Rockets

In the marquee match of the evening, Indian tennis superstar Saina Nehwal beat Sung Ji Hyun to bring back life in to the Awade Warriors after then had gone two sets down to Mumbai.

The ace shuttler from Hyderabad won the match 12-10, 4-11, 11,5 as she got her rhythm and confidence back which could bode well for her and her franchise in the coming matches.
In a sea-saw match, Saina gained the upper hand as she won a close first game. Then Sung Ji Hyun fought back to win the second game and take the match in to the final deciding game. With the pressure focused on the Saina and the Awade Warriors, the champion from Hyderabad won the game and the match for her team.
Earlier in men’s single tie, Ajay Jayaram of Mumbai Rockets defeated his compatriot Kidambi Srikanth of Awadhe Warriors 5-11, 15-14, 11-5. (PBL 2017- Wrap Up of Awadhe Warriors vs Mumbai Rockets)
In men’s doubles match, Lee Yong Dae and Nipitphon Puangpuapech of Rockets took on the in-form pair of Markis Kido and V Shem Goh of Warriors.
In the last match Bodin Issara and Savitree Amitrapai of Awadhe Warriors won their trump match in the mixed doubles category against Nadiedza Zeiba and Nipitphon 11-8, 11-4.
