Mobs in Minecraft attack players on-site or are passive. These passive mobs go about their business and live unless trifled with. Today we will look at some of the most useful of these mobs.
Mobs in the game can put in a lot of work if you use them correctly. There are a total of 28 passive mobs currently in the game whose abilities you can utilize. However, some of them are great only as pets as they do not offer any utility. As a pre-requisite, we will skip all the pets and only look at the ones which provide players with value in their playthrough.
You can download extra mobs from the CurseForge website as well if you want more animals. In Minecraft Legends, the newest Mojang game, they are called Mounts and help the players travel around the map. However, in the vanilla version of Mojang’s original game, they can do much more than that.

Four Passive Mobs You Can Utilize in Minecraft
4. Striders
If you are a frequent flyer in the Nether, this mob is going to be the most useful for you. These striders are quite passive mobs and if you carry a saddle around you can ride them. You will need a mushroom on a stick to maneuver this mob around.
They are also great in lava and are quick. However, if you decide to kill them, they drop nothing but strings, basically making them useless aside from travel. If you want to learn how to ride a strider, check out the video above.
3. Sheep
Good clothes are a necessary requirement in Minecraft. If you are getting lots of stuff done you need to look good while doing it. Sheep are your endless supply of wool which you will need to feel comfy at night during winter. In addition, you can also use them for food if you do not have use for wool.
These mobs are easy to breed as well which is why they are popular in the production of animal farms. The wool items these mobs provide are important to set up beds, defenses, and decorations.
2. Chicken
A chicken is the best mob to have just, for one thing, food. A simple chicken is the best source of food in the game by far. Nothing comes close. The best part about this mod is the synergy around it. With just a few blocks you can set up an automatic animal farm.
The animal farm will be responsible for breeding, killing, and cooking chickens in an endless cycle while you will be off during your thing. Check out the video above to see how you can build a chicken farm.
1. Villagers
By far the most useful mob in the vanilla version are the villagers. They have really important items with them which you can buy by exchanging emeralds. You can also enchant your weapons with their help without making an enchantment table. Although we really recommend making an enchantment table.
You should prioritize at least interacting with villagers and seeing what items they possess since you will always find good stuff with them.
Minecraft routinely adds new mobs. Quite recently, we are being introduced to the Sniffer Mob and Camel Mob, you can check out information about them here!
