AFGH vs WI Dream 11 Prediction: Best Dream11 team for today World Cup match | Afghanistan vs West Indies as TSR helps you with Dream 11.

Eliminated nations West Indies and Afghanistan go head to head in the 42nd match of the ICC Cricket World Cup. The Caribbean nation registered only one win in the tournament, dominating Pakistan in their first game. It’s been downhill for them since then.

On the other hand, Afghanistan have been even more disappointing. They are yet to win a game in this edition and they’ve not even been blessed by a washout that could give them points. These teams might just make a match out of what seems to be a rather underwhelming situation.

AFGH vs WI Dream 11 Prediction

Wicket-keepers for AFGH vs WI Dream 11

My only wicket-keeper batsman for this match is West Indies’ Nicholas Pooran. This is a rather safe bet for this role because Pooran has scored 309 runs in 8 games, including 118 against Sri Lanka in the previous game. He is averaging 50+ in the tournament and even scored a half century against hosts England.

Batsmen for AFGH vs WI Dream 11

I’ve gone for Universe Boss Chris Gayle as my first-choice batsman. Gayle is a very good player of spin and if the match happens to be on the same pitch as Afghanistan vs Pakistan was, the veteran will be very difficult to bowl against. He has two half-centuries in the competition including an 87 against New Zealand.

Shimron Hetmeyer is my other pick in this tie. Like his aforementioned countryman, Hetmeyer too, has a couple of half-centuries in consecutive matches against Bangladesh and New Zealand. He has accumulated 218 runs in total.

Afghanistan opening batsman Rahmat Shah is my third pick. He has a fifty to his name, and can stick and bat for a long time under the right circumstances. Another reason I’ve chosen Rahmat is because if it comes down to a spin-favouring pitch, his leg-spin might just come in handy for Afghanistan.

My last pick is Najibullah Zadran. Despite scoring almost 200 runs in the tournament, he hasn’t been able to help his country’s cause. However, he has a strike rate of 90+, and could pose a threat to bowling of West Indies.

All-rounders for AFGH vs WI Dream 11

I’ve picked the Afghan duo of Gulbadin Naib and Mohammed Nabi and West Indies captain Jason Holder. Naib has 9 wickets in 8 games and a run total of almost 200 runs. The captain came close to scoring a half century against Bangladesh, getting out at 47. He was criticised heavily after the loss to Pakistan for taking too much responsibility, but we expect him to be back to wicket taking form in the next game.

Nabi, on the other hand has been slightly better. He has taken just as many wickets and has scored 102 runs even though he comes way down the batting order.

28-year old Holder has done justice to his role of a star all-rounder. He’s taken 8 wickets in just as many matches, and even has a run total of 102. Holder likes to hit hard, and his strike rate of 103 is a testament to that. He’s also my captain for this game.

Bowlers for AFGH vs WI Dream 11

Sheldon Cottrell has arguably been the best player for West Indies in the bout. He has taken 12 wickets in 8 games, and has a rather decent economy of 5.81. My vice-captain for the game, Cottrell has set expectations for himself in the cup and is expected to deliver.

Cottrell’s partner while strike bowling, Oshane Thomas has performed quite well, too. He’s picked up 8 batsmen in 8 matches. His bowling figures otherwise aren’t very impressive, but he picks up wickets at crucial stages for WI.

My last pick of the game came out of need and lack of better options. I have chosen Dawlat Zadran because of his ability to spin the ball. This will come in handy on a pitch like that of Headingley. He’s played only 4 games, but has managed to get 6 wickets.
