Alexa Bliss: The Goddess will face Bayley for the SmackDown Women’s Championship at WWE Stomping Grounds. She earned the opportunity by winning a triple-threat match.
Alexa Bliss is the no.1 contender to Bayley’s WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship. She defeated Carmella and Charlotte Flair to earn her opportunity.

Alexa was slated to host ‘A moment of Bliss’ tonight with Bayley as her guest. The former champion talked about the one good night Bayley had where she became the new Champion. Bayley argued that it was years in the making. Alexa then talked up her own achievements and reminded Bayley that she was a 2-time SmackDown women’s champion.
Carmella then walked out and said she deserved to be a part of the conversation as a former champ and Miss Money in the Bank herself. Alexa takes it as a challenge. Charlotte then walks out and informs them they will take part in a triple-threat no. 1 contenders match to face Bayley at Stomping Grounds.
There were a ton of good spots in the match. Alexa Bliss’ was particularly entertaining with a sunset flip powerbomb on Carmella and later, a Twisted Bliss on Charlotte. Alexa then took advantage of a Fire and Desire distraction to DDT Carmella for the Win.
WWE Stomping Grounds will emanate live on June 23, 2019 from the Tacoma Dome in Tacoma, Washington. The Pay Per View will stream live on the WWE Network.
