Alexis Sanchez on Solskjaer: Manchester United are yet to drop points under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in the Premier League.

Manchester United have been brilliant under the caretaker manager so far. The side registered its seventh consecutive victory in as many games under his charge when they defeated Brighton 2-1 on Saturday.

Paul Pogba and Marcus Rashford scored the goals for United as they continued their winning run in the league. Earlier, United cruised to victory in the FA Cup third round against Reading, and will take on Arsenal in the next round later this week.

Solskjaer confirmed that Alexis Sanchez could be back in action against his former side in the fourth-round tie. The Chilean attacker has been confined to sidelines due to injury issues.

Sanchez has started only one game under Solskjaer and made a substitute appearance in a 2-0 win over Newcastle earlier this month.

The winger has now spoken on how Solskjaer has brought change in the United side.

Sanchez on Solskjaer:

Alexis Sanchez believes that the situation remains the same in terms of players, but the side is more successful in the style of play it is playing.

“The players are the same with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as they were with Mourinho,” Sanchez said.

“But now we are having more success in attack and we are defending better. The fact he has so much history with this club opens the way a lot when he speaks.”

Sanchez also proceeded to discuss Solskjaer’s philosophy, stating that the caretaker manager has told the players that ‘everything depended on them.’

“His philosophy is to touch the ball a lot, to control the game and to score goals. You can tell that his position on the field as a player was as a forward, but he still wants us to take good care of our penalty area too.

“That’s the way you get better results. The only thing the manager told us was that we could improve the situation ourselves. He said that everything depended on us and it was in our own hands to climb the table.”

What next?

Manchester United will take on Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday this week in the FA Cup fourth round tie.
