Spanish daily Don Balon reports Sergio Aguero is set to depart the club due to a strained relationship with coach Pep Guardiola. The 29-year old Argentine’s current contract is set to keep him at the Etihad till 2020, but he is now wary about his stay with Pep preferring to start Gabriel Jesus.
The recent linking of Alexis Sanchez to City has also raised doubts about Aguero’s role under Pep.

Real Madrid have been monitoring both Aguero and Sanchez for some time now. The Chilean’s move might to Etihad be the catalyst for Kun’s to Bernabeau, should it materialise.
What’s the price, Manchester City?

City are reportedly looking for around €70 million to let go of their striker- which would be a comfortable sum for Madrid.
The Merengues, however, state Madrid are not sure about the buy due to Aguero’s injury problems.
He has also been named in the squad for City’s Champion’s League fixtures. This would mean that he would be unable to play for Madrid in the competition.
Despite that Real Madrid are now aware of Aguero’s price-tag. If they are to sign a replacement for Karim Benzema at the end of the season, Los Blancos know how much it would cost them to sign the Argentinean to replace the Frenchman.

Earlier this season, Aguero confirmed that he would leave the club at the end of his contract. His wish though was a move back to Argentina his boyhood club Independiente.
Whether he delays that and moves to Madrid, during January or the summer, remains the question.
Is Sergio a good fit for Madrid?
Sergio is definitely one of the most lethal strikers in the world when not injured. Adding him to their ranks might be what’s needed to get back into the chase for the La Liga title. If rumours are to be believed, Madrid are definitely landing a striker during January. The question is who it is: Dybala, Aguero or Sanchez.
