Who is Disguised Toast?
Disguised Toast aka Jeremy Wang is a Canadian streamer who initially made a name for himself streaming Hearthstone. For those of you who do not know, it is an online f2p card game based on the World of Warcraft franchise. However, it is only recently that he has shot up in popularity as an insanely good player of the game, Among us.
Toast and Among Us – a match in heaven.
Jeremy aka Toast streams Among Us content on Twitch daily along with a close-knit group of friends who are streamers as well. Later on, he uploads highlights of his best matches on YouTube. His viewership on both platforms has blown up lately. On YouTube alone, each of his last 26 streams have got over a million views. In total the view count for these 26 streams run well past the 50 million mark.
Moreover, with his rapid rise up the ladder of fame, Toast has also managed to stream collabs with famous Internet personas like Ninja, PewDiePie, Myth and more. This has done him no harm, with his last upload ft. PewDiePie trending #2 globally on YT Gaming.
The Reasons behind Toast’s success.
But Among Us has hundreds of famous streamers playing the game daily. Also, some of them are way more famous than Toast. So, what makes him stand out from the pack?
The answer lies in his gameplay and streaming method. Toast is easily the best Among Us player on the Internet right now. His deduction skills are on point as a Crewmate and his guesses are more often than not correct. However, it is as an Imposter that he shows his true worth. With well-made plots and very believable lies, he wriggles his way out of the messiest of matches. Sometimes, he deceives his fellow players so badly that they admit his greatness out of spite!
Apart from the skill, his stream method also makes for a great watch. Using both the audio and video to interact with his fellow streamers, he creates a mini suspense thriller on screen for every match. As players lie between their teeth, we’re left wondering when or if they’ll be caught.
With the Among Us craze just beginning to get up to speed, Toast’s good days seem to only just be starting. So, expect to hear his name a lot more often in the upcoming months on the Internet.
