Andros Townsend defends Ashley Young over Crystal Palace's mean tweet

Andros Townsend defends Ashley Young after Crystal Palace tweets a video of Wilfried Zaha dribbling past Young.

Manchester United had a tough game-week, where they conceded in the final minutes of the game to lose the game against the Eagles.

Amidst this, one of the highlights of the game was Wilfried Zaha dribbling past Manchester United captain Ashley Young. The video got viral online, and several people on social media did not hesitate to make fun of Young.

Even, Crystal Palace shared the video on its official twitter handle to make fun on the Former English International.

In the video it can be seen that Zaha was bossing over Young, who came in the first half to replace Luke Shaw, who picked up an injury in the first half of the game.

However, this tweet did not make Crystal palace player Andros Townsend happy with the disrespectful tweet by his club’s tweet.

The 28-year-old player made a response to criticize the tweet posted by Crystal Palace’s twitter account, which intended to appreciate Zaha by fooling with Young.

“A 34 y/o ex winger vs one of the leagues best wingers…. he gets destroyed twice yet still manages to block the cross…. we should be applauding this not making fun of it #Respect” tweeted Townsend.

Surely, Young is past his prime, and is no more a regular-starter at the club since the new signings came in this last transfer window.

Moreover, the 34-year-old Manchester United player has been subject of massive criticism even though he is playing out of position, ever since fullbacks concerns occurred at the Old Trafford.

In this video, although, initially Zaha owned him but Young made a good recovery from the situation and saved a cross getting inside the box.

As of now, there has been no response by Crystal Palace for the tweet by Townsend, nor the club have taken down the video.
