ARG Vs BRZ Dream 11 prediction: Dream 11 fantasy tips for Argentina Vs Brazil

ARG Vs BRZ Dream 11 prediction: The Sportsrush brings you the Dream 11 prediction between Argentina and Brazil in the Copa America semi-final.

The Copa America semi final 1 brings to us what is possibly the biggest game in World Football. Brazil and Argentina face off in Minas Gerais. Both teams have underperformed massively in the tournament.

So, much so, Brazil won the game against Paraguay on penalties, escaping what could’ve been an embarrassment. Argentina on the other hand fared well after the first loss to Colombia, beating Venezuela pretty convincingly with a score of 2-0.

While Brazil are the better set team in this match with squad depth of more quality, Argentina’s attack has the competitiveness to turn a game around with a few attacks.

Formation: 3-4-3

DEFENDERS

Dani Alves: The Brazilian captain is my first pick for this game. He has had a good tournament and gave a very performance versus Bolivia, too. He’s made 4 goal scoring chances in 4 games, and has a goal to his name, too. Alves is a fabulous passer and has an accuracy of 90% in the tournament.

Marquinhos: Brazil’s top point accumulator, PSG’s central defender has been the best CB in the competition. He’s kept 4 consecutive clean sheets and has an assist which came against Peru.

The #4 is an immovable object in his current form and will have to replicate the same form coming up against Leo Messi.

Tagliafico: Tagliafico was one of the best left backs in the Champions League the past season, and was one of the main reasons for Ajax’s overwhelming season. He’s kept two consecutive clean sheets now and his natural attacking nature makes him a threat for opposition fullbacks.

MIDFIELDERS

Philippe Coutinho(C): Brazil’s best player in the tournament, Coutinho has been the creative force behind Brazil’s 8 goals in 4 games. He’s one of two Brazil attackers to have started all games so far and is their main man. He’s very crucial for the team and is the primary difference maker between the quality of the two nations.

Everton Soares: Everton has played all 4 games for Brazil, but he’s started only 2. However, he’s scored 2 goals and given an assist in the tournament. He’s also started the last two games without being substituted. He’s creative, very attacking and has an eye for goal.

Casemiro: Real Madrid’s defensive midfielder, Casemiro likes to get on the scoresheet often. This has been evident in his 3 starts in the Copa. He’s scored 1 goal and given two key passes, Casemiro is not your average midfield destroyer.

Giovanni Lo Celso: Lo Celso had a superb season with Real Betis in the La Liga and Europa League. After playing as a DM with PSG, the youngster was used in his natural position with the Spanish club and flourished. He was brought on in the last game and had the last say, scoring Argentina’s second.

FORWARDS

Lionel Messi: The greatest player the world has ever seen has been nothing short of underperforming with Argentina throughout the length of his career.

The little magician has started all games in the tournament but has only scored once. However, you can never expect anything less than the best from the best. Leo Messi shines in big games and tomorrow might just be his day.

Lautaro Martinez(VC): Inter Milan’s Lautaro has started 3 games out of 4 in this edition. His 3 starts in the tournament have yielded 2 goals scoring the opener against both Qatar and Venezuela.

His form and determination to get on the scoresheet is the only reason I’ve selected him over Roberto Firmino and Leo Messi as my Vice Captain.

Roberto Firmino: Champions League winner Bobby Firmino has been selected over Gabriel Jesus to lead the line for Brazil. To say he’s been disappointing would be a lie, and his 1 goal and 2 assists in the bout prove the same.

Firmino will look to get behind the rather disorganised Argentine defensive line and is a safe bet to get a direct contribution.
