Matteo Guendouzi Transfer News: Mikel Arteta speaks on transfer speculations of Guendouzi amid Man Utd interests

The squad is irked with the manager’s decision to pin the blame on club’s players

Be it Unai Emery or Mikel Arteta, both have been subjected to jibes and slander from Arsenal’s squad. Over the last string of seasons, player power has taken precedence at Arsenal with manifold players at the club smearing their manager when things refuse to swing in the club’s favour.

Arteta Put To The Sword

Mikel Arteta has faced his players’ wrath as well with the club’s squad said to be revolting against their boss. Scores of reports have emerged from England citing the squad’s angst at Arteta’s persistent targeting of the club’s players.

Arteta has recently spoken about how the club’s players have let the side down, comments which have not gone down with the senior members of the unit. The players are also said to have raised fingers over Arteta’s handling of players and his tactics.

One incident which has in particular left a bad tase in the club’s squad is Arteta’s treatment of club captain Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang. The squad is said to be livid with Arteta’s decision to drop Aubameyang for the club’s bygone 1-1 draw with Slavia Prague in the Europa League.

A set of players have also questioned Arteta’s handling of new entrant Thomas Partey. The midfielder has failed to have a telling impact at his new club with players said to be disgruntled with Arteta’s inability to get the best out of the player.

For Arteta, the only way to assuage these growing voices of discontent is by truning things around at the club. And he couldn’t have asked for a more ideal fixture this time around in the Premier League with his side set to take on bottom placed Sheffield United.

It’s a tie Arteta will be looking to utilise as a confidence booster before his side returns to the land of the Europa League. The Spaniard is set to massively shuffle his playing 11 for the showdown on Sunday in a bid to navigate past the slew of injuries to have stricken the side currently.
