Arsenal Transfer News: Arsenal ask for Barcelona forward on loan

Arsenal Transfer News: Arsenal ask for Barcelona superstar Malcolm on loan as they need to find immediate reinforcements in the squad.

Arsenal faced a tough season in the Premier league, as they finished fifth in the table, and failed to qualify for the next edition of the Champions league.

Thus, Unai Emery is seeking to add more firepower in the squad, but due to a slim budget, the Arsenal manager is unable to land the desired targets into his club.

So, according to a report by the Express, as per the Sport, Emery has decided to land Malcolm from Barcelona on a loan without exploiting their grounded budget, but they are willing to add a clause to sign him on permanent basis next summer.

However, Barcelona are only interested in selling the player, in order to finance their own signings. It is further claimed that Barcelona want £50 million for the 22-year-old, who they signed from Bordeaux last year for £41 million in a hijack buy.

Meanwhile, certain reports also suggest that Malcolm’s agents were present in London to have talks with the hierarchy at the North London club, but they are reportedly long way away from the desired agreement.

Whereas, Everton were also reported to land Malcolm from Barcelona this summer, and probably will compete with the Gunners for his services.

The Brazilian International had an underwhelming debut season with the Catalan giants, as he stayed away from regular game-time due to his low ranking in the pecking order.

Thus, it might be a good option for Barcelona to let him go on a loan and receive regular game-time, so that upon his return Barcelona can utilize him to his potential.
