Bhuvneshwar Kumar ruled out of SRH's game against MI

Sunrises Hyderabad (SRH) is going through a lean patch as they have lost their last couple of matches of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) season. They are all set to play against the defending champions Mumbai Indians (MI) on Tuesday (24th) at the Wankhede Stadium. However, the team has been dealt with a massive blow as their talisman Bhuvneshwar Kumar has been ruled out of the game due to back injury.

SRH is suddenly facing a lot of injuries this season as Yusuf Pathan was seen struggling while chasing in the last game. Their regular opener Shikhar Dhawan also missed the last game because of an elbow injury.

Kane Williamson, the SRH captain has confirmed that Bhuvneshwar Kumar will be missing tonight’s game whereas Dhawan faces a race against time to to be deemed completely fit.

“Bhuvi did not travel with the team and is not playing the next match. Shikhar we are hoping will be fine for tomorrow,” Kane Williamson said as quoted by PTI.

He was also not sure about the fitness of Yusuf Pathan who regained form in the previous match and had almost won the game for Orange Army.

“I am not 100 percent sure on how Yusuf is. I know he did have some cramps but hopefully, he will be ok and come tomorrow night,” he added.

Sandeep Sharma is likely to replace Bhuvneshwar Kumar in the encounter against MI. But unfortunately, he didn’t get a chance in the playing XI as the side was fully packed with gun bowlers.

SRH is ranking 4th in the points table with 6 points in the bag. SRH would be looking forward to winning the battle and avoid the hat-trick of defeats.

SRH have a slight advantage over MI as they have won 6 games while MI won 5 in the encounter against each other.
