MI vs CSK 2019

MI vs CSK 2019: The Sportsrush presents before you three intriguing player battles ahead of the 15th match of IPL 2019.

Arch rivals Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings take each other on at the Wankhede tonight in what promises to be a thrilling encounter. Any match between the 2 most successful franchises of the IPL is bound to be extremely competitive, We look at a few player battles which would be exciting to watch.

Mitchell McClenaghan vs Suresh Raina

It is no news that Suresh Raina has always struggled with bouncers. It is his greatest weakness and one person who would look towards exploiting that is the aggressive pacer from New Zealand, Mitchell McClenaghan.

He is known for his pace and bounce and Raina might find himself struggling to counter his balls on a pitch like Wankhede which offers plenty of bounce. It will be extremely interesting to see if Raina comes up with a strategy or McClenaghan has the last laugh.

Deepak Chahar vs Rohit Sharma

Rohit Sharma is someone who is a delight to watch. However, when the ball moves around and swings a bit, he has been prone to edging or mistiming the ball leading to his dismissal. Deepak Chahar is a upcoming young bowler who swings the ball to trouble the batsmen.

Considering the pitch helps him a little, he could really trouble the MI skipper by bowling around his pads or just outside the off stump. It will indeed be surprising if Rohit manages to dominate Chahar in the powerplay overs.

Jasprit Bumrah vs Mahendra Singh Dhoni

This can also be touted as a battle between the world’s best death bowler and the world’s best finisher. It will be a mouthwatering contest between these two players. Whether Dhoni manages to flourish in the death overs by putting away Bumrah by bringing back the helicopter shot or Bumrah manages to send Dhoni’s wicket for a walk in the park with a deadly yorker, it will be entertaining for us all to watch.
