BN-A vs AF-A Dream11 Team: Afghanistan look to carry their momentum forward after being buoyed with a 1-0 win in the test series

After the flabbergasting form of the main side at the recently concluded Cricket World Cup, changes are bound to ring in fast in the Afghanistan cricket team. They’ve already replaced Gulbadin Naib as captain, opting for Rashid Khan as the captain across all three formats with more chopping bound to come in the time to ensue.

And the team management and selection committee will be ardently observing the Afghanistan A side who are in action against Bangladesh A at the moment. With several of the international players massively disappointing in the World Cup, the selectors are bound to turn to the Afghanistan A side and imbed a slew of outstanding performers from this series into the main outfit as they look to craft out a side for the future.

While the Afghanistan side wasn’t able to make for a source of happiness for Afghanis, the Afghanistan A side went onto win the test series after securing an unprecedented win in the opening test of the two match series. Beating Bangladesh A by 7 wickets in that particular encounter, the side scripted an unlikely result to give their raucous supporters something to finally cheer about after enduring a horrid period of a month.

And the side will be looking to build on that performance when they take on Bangladesh in the opening match of the five match ODI series today. The test match saw the bowlers step up for Afghanistan, pummelling Bangladesh to a treacherous time and will be looking to give the Bangladesh unit the same drubbing and emulate the same restrictive brand of bowling.

Probable Winner

With the test series being an extremely competitive and feisty one, expect the ODI series to be shaped in the same manner. The surface of this wicket will play a pivotal role as well with an average score of 257 in the first innings pointing to the bowler friendly conditions prevalent.

With Afghanistan having bundled out Bangladesh for 200 in the first innings of the second test match, their bowlers are bound to emanate the same form and make batting treacherous task for Bangladesh. If the batting unit can up the ante, we see Afghanistan winning this one and taking a 1-0 lead in the series.

Wicket-Keeper for BN-A vs AF-A Dream11

Pushing for a spot in the international team, Anamul Haque scored 121 in the first innings of the opening match of the test series, carrying on his strong form and we see the wicket-keeper being one of the highest scorer in this match as well.

Batsmen for BN-A vs AF-A Dream11

The surface expected to play friendly for batsmen especially in the opening half of the match, we are going in with two batsmen from either side. Coming in from Afghanistan are the inform Ibrahim Zadran and Usman Ghani with the two emerging as their side’s mainstay in a  batting department which still has to unlock its true potential.

Coming in from Bangladesh we have Imrul Kayes and Sabbir Rahman. Both have played international cricket for Bangladesh and are more than well versed with the requirements needed to exceed at the highest level. Expect them to help overturn a crumbling batting line-up for their side and help Bangladesh post a good total.

All-Rounders for BN-A vs AF-A Dream11

Mahedi Hassan and Farhad Reza are included from Bangladesh by us with us opting for the two man duo based on the roles they are handed out in the side. They’ll play important roles with both the bat and ball and will get in the points from both the departments.

Elsewhere we have only opted for Sharafuddin Ashraf from Afghanistan.

Bowling Order for BN-A vs AF-A Dream11

After picking up 13 wickets in the test series, 7 of which came in a single innings as he tore apart the Bangladesh batting unit, legspinner Wais Ahmad is the first player we have opted for over here. He was the standout performer for his side in the longest format of the game and is bound to enjoy his time on a surface which will become sluggish as play carries on.

Mirwais Ashraf will be accompanying him from Afghanistan while we have gone ahead with Rubel Hossain from Bangladesh.

Captain And Vice-Captain

We have chosen Sabbir as our captain for this match while it’s Anamul who is made the vice-captain.

Probable Playing 11

Imrul Kayes, Anamul Haque, Afif Hossain, Mohammad Mithun, Sabbir Rahman, Farhad Reza, Mahedi Hasan, Abu Hider Rony, Rubel Hossain, Abu Jayed Rahi, Nazmul Apu.
